South Florida Parenting Mom Approved Panelist

Can you believe June is here? It seems like yesterday my little man was starting his first day at kindergarten and tomorrow he graduates to first grade. Like most graduations, Father’s Day also falls in June. In this month’s edition of SFP,  you can check out the view from the dad’s perspective and see what famous South Florida fathers plan to do this year.

This month, you will also find the Afterschool, Summer Fun and Field Trip Guide. I browsed through this and let me tell you, I had no idea there were so many camps and activities for kids in South Florida. The guide has over 850! I also checked out a ton of activities happening in June to help keep your kids occupied during their summer break. There are tons of free ones, especially those offered by local libraries. Plus, it’s the last week to enter the Don’t Be a Bully Contest . Your child’s art could be displayed at their back to school event.

South Florida Parenting Toddler and Baby Fair

A big event happening this month is the South Florida Parenting Baby & Toddler Fair. Sunday, June 7th from 11am to 3pm, head over to the Pavilion Grille at Stonegate Bank for this annual event featuring products, services, giveaways, goodie bags, complimentary refreshments, free chair massages, seminars, free parking, toddler activities, Diaper Derby, and Daddy’s Diaper Duty contests.  Address is 301 Yamato Rd, Boca Raton, FL. Advance tickets are available for $10 at Sun-Sentinel.com/SouthFloridaParenting and $15 at the door.

You’ll also find Summer Safety & Potty Training Resources inside. Pick up your copy at your local school, library, or pediatrician’s office. You’d be glad you did!
