KTB Swimwear

Some of you might remember that in April, #mymister and I got to visit Punta Cana sans kids because we won the stay at Hard Rock Punta Cana. Like many moms, I immediately thought about what I was going to wear on the trip; especially the bathing suit, because my body was not quite “bikini-ready” in my mind after having two kids. When KTB Swimwear, heard of my travel plans, they offered to provide me a suit to try out. In case you are wondering, KTB stands for Kill The Buddha which loosely means to kill the image of perfection that you have in your mind. KTB focuses on empowering women to #LoveYourFlaws and #EmbraceYourBeautiful because #ConfidenceIsSexy. They offer a variety of suits that compliment your curves, rather than minimizing them.

Even though I still opted to go for the one-piece, KTB forces you to come out of your “safe” shell with its unique accents meant to make you feel sexy. The Dharma suit, seen in my pictures, has soft cups suitable for sizes C & D. There is no underwire or heavy padding, so the cups are really meant for support. It has ruched sides, with functioning beaded ties on the sides, so you can adjust them to fit your body. The back of the suit is open, with criss-crossed straps. What made the biggest impression on me was how soft the material was. From the moment I took it out of the box, I was in love with its silkiness.  When I took off the suit, I was surprised not to find any red marks or lines on the edges where the suit was. I am sure its material and seamless design had something to do with that.

I also loved the hand-painted design with the chain pattern on my suit. It made it even more hard rock and luxurious, which was perfect for my destination. They also offer this suit in black, black feather, gold snake and silver snake.  I definitely felt empowered in this suit. Even pairing it with a cover-up, I still felt sexy. Overall, I was impressed and I am even checking out some of their others styles and prints. (The black feather pattern is cute, and I am also liking the swim necklaces).  Keep scrolling for how you can buy one too!
