Instant Family Blu-Ray Giveaway
Sponsored by Paramount Pictures Hosted by Powered by Mom
Believe it or not, I was once in an “instant family” sort of situation. I helped care for two kids who are actually now in their 20’s. It can be a challenge to care for children that are not your own, but they really do deserve the same love you’d give your own flesh and blood. I think this foster care concept has not been tackled enough, so it’s pretty cool this movie takes on this topic, but in a comedic way. My Aunt and Uncle were foster parents who have now officially adopted their son, and I know they have some humorous stories about the process.
My familiarity with this topic leads me to be excited to share about the Digital/DVD/Blu-ray release of INSTANT FAMILY. It’s a heartwarming film, inspired by the real events from the life of writer/director Sean Anders, follows Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) as they decide to start a family and stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15-year-old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family. INSTANT FAMILY also stars Octavia Spencer, Tig Notaro and Margo Martindale.
