Now that I’m finally back in my “office,” I can begin sharing all of the super cool things I’ve been doing the last 2 weeks. It all started on the morning of Saturday, the 13th. We got up sometime around 3am, so we could arrive at the airport by 5a for our 7am flight to NYC. Here’s Dittles & I below, as we wait for our plane to board. I’m really not sure how we looked so cute at 6am with 3 hours of sleep, but it still wasn’t cute enough for the NYFW happenings I would be attending later that night.

Heather Lopez and Dittles

After checking in early to our hotel, I headed to the Play Fair for a special blogger event I was invited to. From there, I made a mad dash to get over to CARAVAN at the Gregory Hotel (2 West 35th Street off 6th Ave) for my 3p  hair appointment that Blogger Babes arranged for me. Did I mention it was crazy cold outside? In fact, it was supposed to be the coldest day of the NY winter season. I opted for a cute sweater, dress pants, and some comfy dress shoes because I was planning to do a lot of walking that day. The two dresses and shoes I packed, had other purposes for me that weekend.

Upon arriving at the hotel, they directed me upstairs to get to CARAVAN. I made it just in the nick of time! While I waited for it to be my turn to sit in the hair stylist’s chair, they offered me a chair massage in a room next door. By this point, after carrying luggage and lacking sleep, I truly needed that massage to go on. When she was done, I felt so relieved. Then they called me over to have my makeup done. This was an extra treat as I thought I only had a hair appointment scheduled.

Heather Lopez Hair & Makeup by CARAVAN for NYFW

The MUA really took the time to explain the techniques she was using, especially the contouring, which is like another world to me. She also shared the items she was using, mostly  PiXi by Petra. I even got a chance to tutor her on some blogging techniques, so we each had something to share with each other. When she was done, I looked more like a snow queen or ice princess, which was well-suited for the chilly weather.

And then it was my turn to get my mane tamed. Since I had just had my roots done the day before, the stylist opted to use a large curling iron to smooth it out and add some glamorous waves. My hair was smooth and shiny when she finished. (In fact, the style held so well that I was able to keep it for the next day, which just so happened to be Valentine’s Day too!)  Now this is a more NYFW-worthy do!

They offered to do my nails to round out the makeover, but I had those (and my brows) done the night before. I wouldn’t have had time anyway, because I had to leave straight from there to head to down near Greenwich Village for another NYFW show.

SIX:02 by Foot Locker

Before I left, I was introduced to SIX:02. This is a women’s fitness store, powered by Foot Locker, that takes a more fashion forward approach. Don’t you just love the cool pattern on the kicks I’m wearing? I’m pretty sure they gave me a giftcard to check it out afterward, but in all of my things and between all of my traveling, I seem to have misplaced it. 🙁

NYFW Caravan Swag

And just before I made it out the door, they gifted me a swag bag containing a PiXi by Petra Hydrating Milky Mist, 2 Rituals Zensation Foaming Shower Gels, OGX Argan Oil of Morocco, and a pop beauty lipstick in Bewitching Beet.

Overall, I had a good time getting glam with some other blogger babes, and I’d recommend stopping by Caravan if you are in town.
