Did you know that we are running out of fresh groundwater for our homes? Only a tiny portion of the Earth’s water is actually usable groundwater. USA Today has some interactive articles about this, you can find here if you want to learn more. In the meantime, I want to tell you about Niagara Conservation’s UHET™ Water-Saving Kit. It contains several items you can add into your kitchen and bathroom to decrease your water usage.
I recently received a diamond kit so that I could try it out in my own home. We decided to put the toilet in our kids’/ guest bathroom. The old one that was there was wobbly, and the handle was practically broken off, so it was time for a change. We had a handyman install it for us due to some structural issues in the floor, but you could install this quickly & easily yourself, if you needed to.
What we really love about the Stealth® Phantom™ toilet is how quiet it is. Now when the kids get up in the middle of the night, the whole house doesn’t have to wake up along with them.
The easy push-button on top makes flushing a breeze (and no more broken handles is a plus).
The new toilet is sturdy and sleek-looking. It is skirted, making it easy to clean. We decided to do a bit more sprucing up of the bathroom to coincide with the elegant look it has. Best of all, it’s a high-efficiency toilet, so it’s saving water. It is designed to flush everything in just one flush, using less than a gallon each time.
You know how you run the shower until it gets warm enough to get inside? Well, the high-efficiency HOTSTART™ showerhead I received in the kit basically slows the water flow to a trickle once the water has reached the ideal shower temperature. When you get inside the shower, you push the button to release the regular water flow. You won’t have to fear stepping into a cold shower. It’ll be nice and warm for you, and saves water because it is not at full power while waiting for you to get in. The technology also ensures you have a steady stream of water, so it will run even with low pressure.
The DUAL SPRAY Adjustable Direction Aerator with Pause Valve does the same type of thing for your faucet. Now you can get the sink water hot and ready to wash dishes, without wasting gallons of water. The DUAL THREAD Fixed Mount Aerator keeps a consistent flow of water, and you can attach them to your bathroom faucets to save even more water.
By investing in something like this, you are not only helping conserve groundwater, you will save money on your water bill too! You can check out this water calculator page on the Niagara Conservation site so that you can see how much you can save both annually and for the lifetime of the kit. I found I could be saving $542/yr and over $5K over the lifetime of the kit. That’s amazing!
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post in partnership with Bloggin’ Mamas & Niagara Corp. I received both this kit and additional compensation. All opinions expressed our my own.
I like that the toilet is quiet, it helps conserve groundwater and will help reduce my water bill!
I love the push button instead of a handle. I would love one for our half bath downstairs. Our toilet is loud and doesnt flush properly. I would buy us our Disney passes with the money saved. Thanks for the chance.
Nice!!!!
I like the efficiency factor as we can save on our water bill
I like that it helps conserve on water.
Quiet and less than a gallon per flush sounds perfect for my noisy, inefficient home.
I like everything about it. The number one thing I like about it is how it’s water efficient. I hate wasting water especially since we are in danger of running out and knowing there are so many people in this world I have to walk for miles just to get a freshwater such as in the case of the people of Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria. I love that it’s skirted so it’s very easy to clean and the cherry on top it’s that it’s quiet. Even if you live alone you want to have a quiet toilet for when you have company over and you do not want to wake them in the middle of the night. And I know company will feel bad if they made noise in the middle of the night. Another cherry is that it doesn’t have a handle. The handle of my bathroom broke once and it was a pain having to lift up the top and pull the chain up to flush the toilet. With the money I would save I will use to buy Niagara Corp. Hotstart Showerhead. Though I have never turn on the water and waited it to warm up others in my household have and it drives me mad.
saving water is my fav feature. with all the money i save i would use it towards bills
