In 5 days, my husband and I celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Being in a marriage, you enjoy many ups and overcome a ton of downs. Sometimes we forget to share those little messages of love that we used to when we were first dating and newlyweds. It’s like we get by with the bare minimum, because we take for granted that the other person knows we love them.

But, through my own marriage, I have learned just how important it is to communicate and share our feelings. I have also learned how lost I’ve felt when #MyMister was not by my side. It was so nice to encounter this new app by StoryGIF that allows me to express my feelings for him in customizable gif messages/stories I can create and send to him in less than 5 minutes.  Here’s one I created today to send him, as he just got back yesterday from being away:

StoryGIF Love is

Imagine being able to send these types of messages to your partner, letting them know how you feel and all for the price of 99 cents to download an app. The Love Is… StoryGIF app for iOS and Android is based on the classic daily cartoon strip “LOVE IS…” and comes with tons of options for creating different messages that you can send every day. I found it really easy to use. You could select up to 10 images to add into your story, but I only chose 4 in the story above.

There are over 40 images available in the first pack that comes with the app, and there are additional celebration-themed images that will be available for purchase at key times all year round. I can’t wait to check them out!

Cartoonist Kim Casali originally began creating the little drawings to express her feelings for her future husband, Roberto; leaving the heartfelt cartoons where he would be sure to find them.

“I began making the little drawings for myself to express how I felt … I would leave little notes under his pillow. After we were married, he showed me that he had kept them all.”

In 1970, Kim’s cartoons came to the attention of the international syndication business, and from there, the Love is… cartoon took on a life of its own, making romance for fans as easy as clipping a comic strip.  Today the cartoons are used across a wide variety of licensed products that all show how simple and beautiful love truly is.

“The Love is… brand is a timeless, sweet and endearing property that so many of us have come of age with,” said Love Is… StoryGIF creator, Naz Amarchi-Cuevas. “We are so happy to bring it to life digitally, to help our users express their feelings.  Who said texting couldn’t be romantic?”

Accessible from both the users phone’s home screen, and from a toolbar inside the new iOS10 Messages app, the Love is… StoryGIF app is simple to use for purveyors of love of all ages.

It is such an easy and affordable way to show you care. And in an age where everything is fast-moving and digital, you can keep your love strong just by tapping into your phone for a few minutes whenever you think it’s time to share your love and appreciation for your significant other.
