Manuel Artime Theater is sure to be buzzing with excitement as the Kiwanis of Little Havana hosts the 33rd Annual Miss Carnaval Miami 2015 pageant on Saturday, February 7, with support from Diet Coke, AT&T and BB&T. As part of the legendary community event, a panel of celebrity judges will determine who will be crowned as Miss Carnaval Miami 2015 and the next female ambassador of the world renowned Carnaval Miami.

“We are very excited to kick-off the Carnaval Miami 2015 season and give these young ladies the opportunity to cement their place in Carnaval Miami history,” said Tony Lorenzo, president of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana. “For more than three decades the Kiwanis of Little Havana has provided unforgettable experiences and thousands of scholarship dollars to hard working pageant winners and we can’t wait for the community to show their support for our 2015 contestants.”

The 33rd Annual Miss Carnaval Miami 2015 pageant will provide single, bi-lingual contestants between the ages 16-25 the opportunity to showcase their talent, beauty, poise and elegance with the for a chance to receive $2,500 in college scholarship funds, an automatic entry to the Miss Florida USA pageant and other prizes.

“It was an unforgettable experience to follow in the footsteps of the wonderful ladies before me and continue the tradition of improving my community and being a mentor to young ladies throughout South Florida,” said Barbara Turbay, Miss Carnaval Miami 2014. “Along with touching thousands of lives through the Kiwanis of Little Havana, the scholarship funds have allowed me to further my education and be a positive role model for future Miss Carnaval Miami winners.”
