We recently conducted a Brand Experience campaign for Chevy and included our marketing client, Dr. G’s Weight Loss and Wellness of Plantation, for National Mom’s Nite Out. Some of the attendees were pre-selected from our South Florida Bloggin’ Mamas group and some were selected based on a contest we conducted in which we asked moms to tell us why they deserved a Chevy Mom’s Nite Out. The contest posted on this blog, as well as referrals from 3 of our other blogs. It was also promoted via Facebook & Twitter.

This particular event was a collaboration between GM and our agency and was based on previous “Crawls” they had conducted in South Florida. A Crawl is when a group of people get together and take a day trip to more than one location.

The first stop was Maroone Chevrolet in Ft. Lauderdale, where we met with the GM rep and discussed the various vehicles that we would be driving, such as the Cruze, Volt, Traverse, & Equinox.

We also had a chance to meet and greet each other.

Then it was off to our next destination: The Contour Day Spa in Plantation

The group of us gathered and met with Fanit, the spa’s owner, for a welcoming.

Then it was time for us to get our hair and make-up done, sponsored by Chevy.

After our hair and make-up, we were escorted upstairs to the office of Dr. G’s Weightloss and Wellness Center, where we had a tour, a bodyfat analysis done and also where we received our first goodybag of the evening. Dr. G’s sponsored a gift certificate for a free DaVinci teeth whitening (worth $129), $50 towards their products or services, a really nice stainless steel keychain, and a sample of one of their nutrition chocolate bars.

After all of that pampering going on, it was time for us to hop back into the Chevy’s for our next destination.

Our next stop on the Crawl was Carrabbas Italian Grill. We had a nice selection of food, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

This was a nice intimate place where we got to sit and chat over dinner. It was also a good time to talk about Chevy and the cars.

While there, Chevy surprised us (see below) with another goody bag. This one had a cool car kit with a mini flashlight, tire pressure gauge, and a pen, as well as a nice water bottle.

And then it was time to go to our last stop before going back to the dealership. We went to the Town Center of Boca Raton for their National Mom’s Nite Out event “Dancing with the Moms.” (I was the mommyblogger co-host.) We got some more goodies, perfume samples, & more! We also had some lucky ladies as our two GM escorts won giveaways and one our attendees won a the most sought after prize, a $250 Simon Mall giftcard.

After all of the fun, excitement, and pampering, we headed back to the dealership where we selected the best tweet of the night. Colleen Shibley, of Shibley Smiles, won a $50 giftcard courtesy of Chevy. She wrote two posts on the night’s events.

Zippy Sandler of Champagne Living went out of her way to share this event with her followers, reaching over 10,000.

Overall, it was a very successful event that went pretty smoothly. GM provided us with the following testimonial (in excerpts):

Hi Heather,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for agreeing to partner with GM and for putting together such a great event and such a fantastic group of moms for the Chevy Mom’s Nite Out! On behalf of GM, I would like to sincerely thank you for your efforts and for coordinating such a fantastic night that everyone enjoyed.

As you have seen, we have received fabulous feedback from everyone and we could not have asked for a better group of mom’s to be selected to participate in our Mom’s Nite Out event. The entire group, including you, was wonderful and truly deserved a night out to enjoy yourselves!

It might have been a little challenging at times but thank you so very much for your time, your posts and for spreading the word and for handling difficult situations wonderfully. I just hope that you enjoyed the whole process as much as I did and that we get to work together again soon!
